Hammarheads,

I want to let you know that Harmonica Jim will not me performing with group this summer. Jim is truly a class act and we love him like family. He is not able to maintain the same level of involvement in the band at this time. We will be doing the shows as a four piece. Thanks for your continued support of MHaTNs.

Stay Cool,

We are proud to be part of the Blues For the Gulf CD project. One of our songs, from the Recipe for the Blues album, "Miss Katrina", was selected to be one of 21 songs featured on the digitally released Blues for the Gulf album. All of the proceeds from the digital record go to assisting the people of the Gulf Coast states who are suffering from environmental and economic devastation. Please spread the word and encourage others to donate. The link is www.bluesforthegulf.org/musicforthegulf.htm .

Thanks to all you Hammarheads for spreading the word about our new record, it has certainly paid off. "Recipe for the Blues" and "Down at the Junction" have been featured on the Juke Joint show and the Stone Blue show on Sirius XM Channel 74. Please continue to email and/or call all blues radio shows and request our music. Your impact is tremendous. This record doesn't happen without you. Thanks a ton! Stay Cool,  MH

We are going to Mariposa, Ca. to perform at the Arts Park as part of the Summer Concert Series. It's this Saturday July 17th 7-9. I have a lot of history in Mariposa. My family is part of the Southern Sierra Miwok Band.(Native Americans) Also, my great grandfather Archie Leonard was one of the first park rangers in Yosemite(National Park). My family still owns land right at the edge of town. Mariposa is part of our family story, we have deep roots up there. I look forward to seeing my cousins, tribal members. and all of the friendly town folk. I encourage all of you to go up early and have a late lunch or early dinner in Mariposa and shop the historic downtown. They have a bunch of really cool and interesting shops. Of course, finish the day off with our concert in the park! Off to the motherlode we go! Oh yeah, come out and buy our new cd!!!

Stay Cool,

MH

John Brigham is a great guy and an awesome photographer. He took all of the photos used in the artwork for "Recipe for the blues", including the cover. John also provided the cover shot for our first album "Going Home". From laying belly down in the middle of a country highway to standing on the top of a wobbly 12 foot ladder, John goes the distance to get the shot.

All of the recording, engineering, mixing, and mastering was done by Jeff Sanders. He did a wonderful job of creating the sound that we wanted. At times, I wondered if he was a legitimate mind reader. What a pro! We were fortunate to work with Jeff as he has worked with some of the absolute biggest names in the music industry. His resume reads like a who's who list in LA music scene. He did the mastering on Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" which won the Grammy for Album of the Year. We are grateful for his mentoring and so very happy that he selected our project as a way dabble once again.

Stay Cool,

MH
